Here at SunGlo Bostons, we have been breeding AKC registered Boston Terriers since 1948, but by all accounts, the Boston Terrier tradition in our family actually spans back over 80 years, as during the 1920's my grandmother, the late Clara Spurling was breeding Bostons registered by the American Kennel Club under the kennel prefix of Idahome Bostons. Needless to say, our family's involvement with the Boston Terrier actually spans nearly two-thirds of its entire history! We have been actively breeding for exhibition purposes since the 1950's and during that time, our unique bloodlines of Boston Terriers has produced too many Champions to count, including many Champions in Canada and European countries as well. Some of our accomplishments include breeding Int. Ch. SunGlo's Pilot Light, who was the #1 Boston Terrier in Europe in 1970 and 1971 and the top European sire of his day, owning his son, Int Ch. Oranjelust Royal Showman who was a champion in eight countries (a world record at that time) and the #1 Boston Terrier in Europe for 1973. During that same time period, we also exported Ch. Redwood's Glowing Kid Regards who also became another top sire in Europe. Also during the 1970's, our Ch. Torchy's Good News of SunGlo sired two very important Boston Terriers of that era, including Int. Ch. Torchlight of Oranjelust (an important sire in European) and also Ch. Good Time Charlie T. Brown (the #1 Boston Terrier in the United States for 1976 and one of the top Boston sires of his day). Even today, you can still find these dogs in the pedigrees of many top Bostons in Europe and North America.
 

In more recent years, we have been truly privelaged to also own our Kia, who was the late Ch. Jondan and BeJay's Eureka! ROM (one of the top brood bitches in the history of the Boston Terrier), as well as her son Bozie, who is our Ch. Tuxedo Bows ROM, who has sired 13 Champions to date and was the top Boston Terrier sire for 2007, not to mention her daughter Ch. SunGlo's Elyssian Maiden ROM who was the top Boston brood bitch for 2008. Also included among Kia's grandchildren is our Halo, who is Ch. SunGlo's Just A Heavenly Light (Best of Opposite Sex at the 2006 Boston Terrier Club of America National Specialty) and our Vinny, who is Ch. SunGlo's Sparkling Wine Cooler. Vinny is the #1 Ranked Boston Terrier in America for 2008 and the only Boston Terrier in 2008 to win a Best In Show award.
